PAIRED PERSONAL TRAINING SESSIONS

One-to-one training seem too daunting? Well, why not buddy up with a friend or partner and sign up for paired training sessions at a discounted rate?

Whilst the overall session format would need to be fairly similar, you don’t need to be at the same fitness level or have exactly the same goals as I can adapt exercises and make them easier or more challenging to suit (although if one of you wants to train for a marathon and the other wants to train for the UK Body Building Championships, we may have a problem!)

The initial consultation session will involve agreeing your individual goals and working out how to get the best out of the session for both of you.

Each 45 min session £40 (£20 each)
Each 1 hour session £50 (£25 each)

FLEXIBLE PAY AS YOU GO SESSIONS

If signing up to a set package of sessions feels like too much… I get it. Lives are busy and signing up to something you are not sure you can manage isn’t what anyone wants or needs.

But, if you still feel like you would benefit from personal training sessions and would prefer a more flexible arrangement, this is for you. Instead of choosing a set time and date and number of sessions, you can pay as you go to fit your workouts in and around your busy schedule.

Each 45 min session £30
Each 1 hour session £40

Frequently Asked Questions

If there’s anything you’re not sure of, check the questions below or get in touch.

Put simply…yes! You get the most health benefits from exercise when you go from doing nothing to doing something. All my sessions are tailored to the individual and there are ways to adapt exercises to make them easier or harder. I offer gentle basic beginner sessions so if you are new to exercise or have been out of it for a long time, I will ease you in gently and build up your fitness gradually.

You will need clothes that are comfortable to exercise in (e.g. leggings, tracksuit bottoms, shorts, T-shirt). Layers often work well if training outdoors so you can remove them as you get warmed up. The most important thing you need is trainers! Again, these don’t need to be anything fancy as long as they support your feet properly.

Nothing – I can provide all equipment. Some clients like to have their own exercise mat but it’s not compulsory. I can advise on cheap home workout equipment that will complement the PT sessions.

No, this doesn’t matter. My house isn’t very big either!! Where possible and when the weather allows we will do outdoor workouts. However, lots of my workouts do not require much space so can easily be done indoors. Plus, you have the option of doing workouts at my house or a local open space if you feel your house really is unsuitable.

This really depends on your goals. If you want to build muscle, expect a lot of weight based exercises. If you want to train for a 10K, we will include plenty of running based exercises plus exercises to strengthen muscles that will support your running goals. As a general rule though, most of my sessions will include a mix of cardio, resistance training and core stability training and I always end with stretches and work on flexibility – an often overlooked and undervalued aspect of fitness.

Most sessions will last an hour. However, there is an option for a 30 min session depending on the PT option you choose. If in any doubt, just get in touch and ask.

This is ok – I am well aware that sometimes the unexpected happens and plans have to change. I am happy to rearrange the session if you can provide 24 hours notice.

You should start to see some results quite quickly – exercise has a positive effect on mood, stress, sleep and energy levels. The guidelines for safe, sustainable weight loss is around 2lbs a week and realistic body fat reduction is around 1% per month. My approach focuses on long-term change rather than dramatic, hasty weight loss that won’t last. You will see the results but most importantly we will work to develop healthy habits than get you off the diet and exercise roller coaster for good.

Absolutely! If you are overweight, regular consistent exercise and making healthy changes to your diet will help you lose weight. Of course, there is much more to it than exercise and diet though – a whole host of other things can affect your weight. Hormones, stress and sleep all affect weight loss and I will work with you to look at your lifestyle and how we can achieve your goals.

However, many people come to me wanting to lose weight, but there are so many other markers of success than weight. If you are in the healthy weight range for your height, it might actually be that you want to lose body fat and build more lean muscle – which might actually increase your weight!! I will work with you to determine your actual goal and of course if that is losing weight, then yes I can help you achieve that.

Yes you can as there are plenty of exercises that are kind to the joints. There are many different ways to work the same muscle so I can adapt exercises to be gentle on your knees or ankles or other joints. I can also reduce the impact of cardio so that the workout suits you and your body.

Tight and weak muscles will affect your posture and can often be the cause of joint pain, so the right exercises can actually help in many instances (e.g. strengthening the core muscles will improve posture and may alleviate lower back pain).
